Question: Fishing lake cumberland?

(Posted by: O on 2010-07-29 13:06:59)

Going to Lake Cumberland in a couple months, September 24th to be exact. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on fishing there? I'm relatively new to the fishing world, so any explanation of terms would be appreciated... Usually just fish with live worms and minnows in lakes near my house. Type of lure, bait, reel, rod, fishing depth, time of day, etc. would all be helpful. Very new to this, like I said. Thanks in advance.

This lake is biggg!, try one of these lures: original 5" rapala, green pumpkin swimming senko, and booyah 1/8 oz green and yellow spinner bait with bucktail (no plastic) skirt. AND, fish both deep bottom structure (points to 30'), docks, and the edges of shoreline weeds. If all that fails - fish below dam with worms and minnows for trout, smallmouth, and saugers. GOOD FISHING!
