Question: Looking for some info on an old bristol fishing rod?

I recently bought an old house and I found an old steel 4 piece Bristol fishing rod on top of one of the built in cabinets. The manufacturing company is Horton MFG. Bristol, Conn. Is this the same company that now makes crossbows? The rod is a black 4 piece rod in a soft wrap style case. There is a patten date of 1903 stamped in the trigger of the rod on the handle. The cork handle shows some aging but the rod is in very good condition. If anyone has any info I'd love to hear it, actual age of the rod, value, etc...?
