Saltwater Fishing Gear?
I was hoping to do some saltwater fishing in jamestown, ri and i was wondering what should i use at the end of my line? what lure would be good. i am not a very experienced fisherman, so i don 't have that much gear, but i do have some spoons and fly 's. i am hoping to fish without bait. Fishing Lake Cumberland?
Going to lake cumberland in a couple months, september 24th to be exact. i was wondering if anyone has any advice on fishing there? i 'm relatively new to the fishing world, so any explanation of terms would be appreciated... usually just fish with live worms and minnows in lakes near my house. type of lure, bait, reel, rod, fishing depth, time of day, etc. would all be helpful. very new to this, like i said. thanks in advance. Fishing On The Au Sable?
I need some pointers on fishing for browns on the south branch of the au sable. i am used to fishing for bass, so walking a stream is a whole new experience for me, not to mention an entirely different way of fishing. i have in ultralight spinning rod (although i plan on learning to fly fish soon!) and have only had moderate success with little baby browns. (Read answers)
Looking For Some Info On An Old Bristol Fishing Rod?
I recently bought an old house and i found an old steel 4 piece bristol fishing rod on top of one of the built in cabinets. the manufacturing company is horton mfg. bristol, conn. is this the same company that now makes crossbows? the rod is a black 4 piece rod in a soft wrap style case. there is a patten date of 1903 stamped in the trigger of the rod on the handle. the cork handle shows some aging but the rod is in very good condition. if anyone has any info i 'd love to hear it, actual age of the rod, value, etc...?
